Former TV Tokyo announcer and "Reiwa's Azato Queen" Mori Kasumi's signature variety show "Mori Kasumi's All Lies TV" (TV Asahi, Wednesday night at 2:34am except in some areas). In the late-night broadcast on January 15th, Mori tried her hand at a "scolding proxy service."
The first client is Mr. Karasawa, a 42-year-old male office worker. He said, "I watch YouTube during work. I want my female boss to give me a good scolding and motivate me." He said he had grown to tolerate male bosses, so he wanted to be scolded by a female boss.
Mori responded to the request in female boss mode, asking questions such as, "Isn't there a subordinate who consults with a boss who watches YouTube?" and "What is the current motivation?!". When Karasawa repeated his quibbling answers, he got heated up and asked, "Don't you want to prove your existence to yourself?" and asked, "When you die, will you think that you've had a good life?"
Perhaps Mori's advice resonated with Karasawa, who promised not to watch YouTube at work anymore, as he splashed a glass of water over him, saying, "Keep your promise properly," and the lecture time ended. It should have ended there, but instead he approached Karasawa, smiled, and whispered in his ear, "I heard that you used to be really cool. Remember how you felt back then and do your best." Mori's technique of "It's no good to just stay angry all the time, it's important to follow up with compliments and other things" shone through.
Afterwards, he preached to a 29-year-old part-time worker who started dating a sugar baby in order to live the life of a Minato-ku girl, and to Takashi Sakai of the comedy duo "The Mommy," who recently realized that he was "not a trash comedian, but a stingy comedian." When asked by a staff member, "Is your need for approval being satisfied right now?", Mori replied, "No, it's not being satisfied," and revealed the surprising fact that he spends about 10 hours a day glued to social media.
As the title suggests, the show is supposed to be "all lies," but as you watch, you'll find yourself thinking, "Maybe it's true, Kasumi Mori." The show is available for viewing on TVer, ABEMA, TV Asahi Catch Up, and TELASA.
