The drama series "Private Banker" starring Toshiaki Karasawa (TV Asahi, Thursdays at 9pm) will begin on January 9th. The original story focuses on a professional "private banker" who advises the wealthy on asset management and creation. This is a thrilling money suspense drama in which Koichi Anno (played by Karasawa) uses his overwhelming financial knowledge and wide-ranging personal connections to brilliantly solve a number of financial problems.

Suzuki Honami plays Iida Kumiko, the second-generation president of "Dango no Tsurumatsu," who applies to become Anno's assistant to learn financial knowledge after meeting him as a private banker, and Uesugi Shuhei plays Mikoshiba Osamu, Anno's trusted assistant. The wealthy family members who Anno hires are played by Anna Tsuchiya, Megumi, Yasui Junpei, Yoshida Uronta, Natsuki Mari, and Hashizume Isao.

The story of the first episode is as follows: Anno is asked to act as a private banker by Takehiro (Hashizume), the president of the Tenmuji Aina Group, a billionaire with assets of 700 billion yen. The first request is for him to help save his beloved dango shop from a difficult situation.

Kumiko (Suzuki), the second-generation president of a dumpling shop, needed a loan to save her shop. When Toudou (Hakamada Yoshihiko), a bank representative, suggested an investment, Kumiko, who had no financial knowledge whatsoever, was surprised to see a large dividend immediately after her trial investment. When Toudou suggested an additional investment, she agreed, but the investment company went bankrupt shortly after, and Kumiko was left with a debt of 500 million yen.

In despair, Kumiko tries to jump off a building, but Anno appears and tells her that she has fallen victim to an investment scam, offering to get her 500 million yen back. Kumiko is suspicious of Anno, whose background she doesn't know, but with no other option, she decides to entrust her to Anno.

Anno begins to work with his assistant Mikoshiba (Uesugi) and learns that Takuya Usami (Kaname Jun), the president of Usami Shokuken, is behind the fraud. Why would Usami, the president of a large company, make Kumiko take on such a huge debt? To solve the mystery, Anno takes action...
