It has been announced that the serial drama "Ganbatte Ikimasshoi," starring actors Anne Suzuki and Ryo Nishikido, which was broadcast on Kansai TV and Fuji TV in July 2005, will begin streaming on December 27th as part of the "Masterpiece Drama Special." The key visual has also been made public.

"Ganbatte Ikimasshoi" is based on the same-titled youth novel (Gentosha Bunko) by Yoshiko Shikimura, set in Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture, depicting the growth and emotional turmoil of a high school girl who devotes her youth to the rowing club. In 1995, it won the Grand Prize at the 4th Botchan Literature Award sponsored by Matsuyama City. In 1998, it was made into a film produced by Altamira Pictures, which enjoyed an unusually long run. This work was the catalyst for lead actress Rena Tanaka, who made her debut in the film version, to begin her career as an actress. An anime movie version was released in 2024.

The TV drama version was broadcast on Tuesdays at 10pm in July 2005. In addition to the stars Suzuki and Nishikido, Aibu Saki, Iwasa Mayuko, Satsuga Manami, Fujimoto Shizuka, Ishida Yuriko, Ikeuchi Hiroyuki, Asami Reina, Tomochika, Ichige Yoshie, and Fumiyo Kohinata also starred. The script was written by Kaneko Arisa. The theme song was Aiko's "Kira Kira".
