An event for the anime "Gintama," based on the popular manga by Hideaki Sorachi, was held on December 21st as part of "Jump Festa 2025" at Makuhari Messe (Mihama-ku, Chiba City), and an illustration in the style of Sorachi's manga "SAKAMOTO DAYS" was unveiled.
The event featured Tomokazu Sugita, who plays Tomokazu Sugita, Daisuke Sakaguchi, who plays Shimura Shinpachi, and Rie Kugimiya, who plays Kagura. A teaser PV for the TV anime "3-nen Z-gumi Ginpachi Sensei," based on the spinoff novel of the "Gintama" spinoff "Gintama 3-nen Z-gumi Ginpachi Sensei," was released.
Elizabeth appeared on stage and announced that she had received a letter from Sorachi. Kugimiya read the message on her behalf, and the audience erupted in laughter. Sorachi expressed her joy that Sugita and the other three had gathered on the Jump Festa stage, writing, "Sakata, played by Tomokazu Sugita, is a former assassin. Shinpachi is a boy who is practically useless. Kagura is a Chinese girl who talks to almost nothing but Al. It's the three of them together that make it 'SAKATADAYS'. I'm so excited for the anime to finally start in January that I couldn't help but draw something new," and released a "SAKAMOTO DAYS"-style illustration.
