Kanna Hashimoto stars in the NHK Asadora drama "Omusubi" (General TV, Monday to Saturday, 8:00 a.m. and others). On December 21, we will look back on the 12th week, "What is working?" (December 16-20). The station's announcer Kozo Takase will be in charge of narration.
"Omusubi" is a "Heisei youth graffiti" about a heroine born in 1989 who always values her own individuality and who, as a nutritionist, connects people's hearts and futures. It is an original work by screenwriter Nonji Nemoto, who is known for NHK's drama "Honest Real Estate".
In the 12th week, Yui (Hashimoto) graduated from a vocational school and obtained a qualification as a nutritionist. She starts working at the company cafeteria where her boyfriend Shoya (Sano Hayato) works, but Tachikawa (Hiroki Miyake), who is in charge of the cafeteria, refuses to let Yui participate in making the menu as a nutritionist. Yui prepares the food and takes orders, but she is useless and ends up only doing the washing up.
One day, Aiko (Kumiko Aso) leaves a note and runs away from home. Masato (Yukiya Kitamura), who works at a barber shop, is overwhelmed. Meanwhile, Yui is entrusted by Tachikawa with planning the daily menu for the first time.
With the condition that the cost of ingredients must be less than 200 yen, Yui desperately works hard in the two hours until lunchtime to come up with a dish and completes it, but...
Meanwhile, Shoya's injured right shoulder has finally reached its limit, and he tells Yui, "I might not be able to play baseball anymore." Yui is shocked by his words... and so the story unfolds.
