On December 20th, it was announced that the second season of the TV anime "Skip and Loafer," based on the manga by Misaki Takamatsu currently being serialized in "Monthly Afternoon" (Kodansha), will be produced. Following the first season, it will be produced by PAWORKS. NHK Educational TV will rebroadcast the first season every Sunday at 5pm from January 5, 2025. The first season of the series was broadcast on TOKYO MX and other stations from April to June 2023.
To celebrate the production of the second season, original author Takamatsu contributed an original illustration, saying, "Thank you for the second season! I'm sure there will be many episodes in which our impressions of the characters will change completely. As a viewer, I'm really looking forward to it!"
The story depicts the high school life of Mitsumi Iwakura, a "countryside prodigy" who graduated from a small local junior high school and entered a high-ranking high school in Tokyo with top grades. The latest 11th volume of the comic will be released on December 23rd.
