The first broadcast and distribution of "Monthly Tori Matsuzaka ," a special feature on three WOWOW films starring actor Tori Matsuzaka , based on an original idea by Matsuzaka himself, has now been completed, and photos from the wrap-up of filming have been made public.
Based on an original idea that Matsuzaka had been working on for many years, the three directors, Matsui Daigo, Okita Shuichi, and Takumi Saito, have imaginatively brought it to the screen, starring Matsuzaka.
In the October issue, Matsuzaka plays a detective in director Matsui's "Yokosuka Detective Agency," which appears alongside Mikami Ai and Nagase Masatoshi. In the November issue, Matsuzaka plays a young man aspiring to become a manga artist in director Okita's "Dandy Boy," which appears alongside Yoshine Kyoko and Mitsuishi Ken. In the December issue, Matsuzaka plays the AI "Ho-1" in director Saito's "I Can't Hear Anything," which appears alongside Shiramoto Ayana and Mitsushima Shinnosuke.
Matsuzaka commented, "From the first meeting, I had no idea where this show was heading or what the right answer was, so everything was a trial and error process. Even after filming began, there were many moments when I couldn't tell myself how much was real and how much was fiction. I think that feeling is reflected in the show. I have nothing but gratitude for the staff and cast who participated in this project, and everyone who watched until the end. Thank you so much."
The three "Monthly Tori Matsuzaka" productions are currently available on WOWOW On Demand.
