It has been revealed that Hayato Sano and Shunta Sono of the five-member vocal dance unit "M!LK" will serve as cheer leaders for the "33rd All-Japan High School Girls' Soccer Championship."
This tournament has produced many players who have gone on to play for the Nadeshiko Japan team at the world's top level. Until now, the tournament was based on a regional representative system, but starting this year, representative schools from all prefectures (some prefectures have two teams) have gathered, expanding the scale to 52 schools.
Both Sano and Sono have experience playing soccer, and Sano commented, "I believe the players have been practicing with their teammates for three years, dedicating their high school life to it, so I feel it is a great honor for us to be able to show them to everyone, and I would like to support them with all my might!"
Highlights will be broadcast late at night on January 3, 5, and 7. The final will be broadcast live from 1:30 pm on the 12th.
◇Comment from Hayato Sano
We both played soccer throughout our school days, so we were very happy to be asked to be cheer leaders for the women's soccer team. I think the players have been practicing with their teammates for three years, dedicating their high school life to it, so we feel it is a great honor for us to be able to show them to everyone, and we will do our best to cheer them on!
◇Comment from Shunta Sono
I've been playing soccer for about seven years, so I'll be the cheer leader this time and cheer with all my might! I'll send as much energy as I can. I'm good at cheering, so I'll do my best to cheer with as much energy as if I had a headband tied around my neck!
