Hiroshi Kurogane, a manga artist with a unique style who is also known as a television commentator, will be appearing on Tetsuko Kuroyanagi's long-running talk show "Tetsuko's Room" (TV Asahi), which will be broadcast at 1:00 pm on December 10th.
He is 79 years old and from Kochi Prefecture. His great-great-grandmother met and talked with Ryoma Sakamoto. He was apparently a feared figure in the local area.
Kurogane himself has had many acquaintances pass away in recent years, and he has been thinking a lot about what death means. He recently started making figurines, and is working on a variety of pieces, from Sengoku warlords to cute rabbits. He says he plans to hold a solo exhibition this month and exhibit those works. He will show off his masterpieces in the studio.
