The "Broadcast Commemorative Miracle Screening" event for "Witchy Pretty Cure! ~MIRAI DAYS~," the sequel to the 13th installment of the popular anime "PreCure" series, "MWitchy Pretty Cure!", was held on December 7th at Shinjuku Wald 9 (Shinjuku, Tokyo). Takahashi Rie, who plays Cure Miracle/Asahina Mirai, Horie Yui, who plays Cure Magical/Izayoi Riko, and Hayami Saori, who plays Cure Felice/Hanaumi Kotoha, looked back on the recording of "Maho Girls PreCure!", which aired from February 2016 to January 2017.
At the event, Takahashi appeared wearing rings inspired by each of the characters that she had given to Horie and Hayami. Hayami said, "The principal (played by Uchida Yuya) brought me a bunch of steamed meat buns..." Takahashi replied with a smile, "He brought me a suitcase full of steamed meat buns that he had brought back as souvenirs from Osaka. When I asked him, 'Why are they warm?' he said, 'It's magic!'"
Frozen mandarins often appeared in the show. Takahashi commented, "There was a bar near the studio that served frozen mandarin sours," while Horie commented, "I was given a large amount of frozen mandarins for my birthday." The two got excited talking about "frozen mandarins."
After recording, the voice actors would sometimes go home together, and Takahashi revealed, "For a different reason, I get lonely walking down that road by myself."
At the event, the 50th episode of "Maho Girls PreCure!" and the first episode of the sequel were screened, along with a video message from Ayaka Saito, who plays Mofurun. Rie Kitagawa performed the opening theme "Dokkin◇Maho Girls PreCure!! Part 3 ~MIRAI DAYS~".
The catchphrase for "Witchy Pretty Cure!" is "Two time periods (futures) are now connected with the magical words, Cure Up Rapapa!", and the story is set in the magical world and the Nasimahou world (human world), and depicts Asahina Mirai, Izayoi Riko, and Hanaumi Kotoha transforming into the "legendary magical PreCure" in action.
In the sequel, Mirai is a university student in the non-magic world, Riko has returned to the magical world and is now a teacher at a magic school, while Kotoha is watching over the world from afar, and they will have to face their own pasts and futures. It has been announced that Takahashi, Horie, Hayami, and Saito will continue to play their roles as voice actors. The series will be broadcast on ABC TV/TV Asahi's late-night anime slot "ANiMAZiNG!!!" from 2 a.m. on January 11, 2025.
