Scenes from the DMM TV original drama "Gedou no Uta," starring actors Yosuke Kubozuka and Kazuya Kamenashi, have been released. Kamenashi's long-haired, tattooed Tora character is striking.
The story is based on "Zenaku no Kuzu" (The Wicked Wish), which was serialized in the manga magazine "Young King" (Shonen Gahosha) by Watanabe Daisuke from 2014 to 2023, and its sequel "Gedou no Uta". It is a crime suspense story in which Kamo (Kubota) and Tora (Kamenashi), who run a seemingly ordinary, rundown, small second-hand bookstore, take on the secret identity of "revengers" and exact brutal revenge on villains who have escaped justice on behalf of the victims' families. Minami Sara plays the role of Kaisei Nanako, a survivor of a family murder who ends up helping Kamo and Tora with their revenge business.
It took two hours to create the realistic tattoos on the muscular arms, which could be called the Tora's trademark, and the original author Watanabe was so amazed that he exclaimed, "This is the tiger I drew!" Although he speaks in a Kansai dialect and has a humorous side, he also has a past that is connected to his mother, and there are scenes where he shows his feelings for the victims and a fierce look in his eyes that shows his hatred for evildoers as a "revenge hunter."
