The synopsis of the 8th episode of the drama series "Monster" (Kantele/Fuji TV, Mondays at 10pm), starring actor Shuri, which will air on December 2nd, has been released. "Monster" is a unique legal entertainment story in which Shuri, who plays the lead role in a primetime drama series for the first time, plays the mysterious monster lawyer Ryoko Kannami, who is not bound by "common sense" and faces her opponents by "eliminating emotions", and faces various problems unique to the Reiwa era, where the law sometimes does not keep up, and faces court battles as if it were a game. The script is written by Atsuko Hashibe, who wrote the "Boku Series Trilogy" including "Boku no Ikiru Michi" (Kantele/Fuji TV). In the 8th episode, four 16-year-old boys are arrested for robbery and assault. One night, the four boys break into the house of Kiyomi Tachibana (played by Mako Ishino), a woman in her 60s who lives alone, while she is away, but she unexpectedly returns home. In a panic, Taniguchi Yusei (Hayashi Yuta) hit Kiyomi, causing her to suffer serious injuries. Moreover, after their arrest, Taniguchi and the other two confessed that they committed the crime under the orders of their friend Kurimoto Hayate (Sakamoto Manato). For this reason, the prosecution suspects that Kurimoto is connected to the illegal part-time job organization that is currently causing a stir in the public, but Kurimoto flatly denies it, saying that they only played the role of "illegal part-time job" by breaking into a house but not stealing, and that Taniguchi was the one who planned it. Kurimoto's parents, who came to ask Ryoko (Shuri) to defend their son, seemed unable to believe that their son, who was an honor student at school, had committed the crime. In particular, the teacher's mother believed that her son had been deceived by a friend with bad behavior. However, when they searched her room to prove her son's innocence, they found something in the pocket of her uniform. Meanwhile, during a meeting with Ryoko, Kurimoto heard some information about the victim, Kiyomi, and was a little shaken up. Ryoko, a little worried about the situation, takes a certain action... Meanwhile, Tsuburai (Furuta Arata) is having a secret meeting with Fujiyoshi Shin (Omiya Taro), the prosecutor in charge of the case. He also appears in the courtroom... and so on. Sakamoto, who plays high school student Kurimoto Hayate, is a promising young actor who has appeared in popular shows this year, such as "Inappropriately Too Much!" (TBS) and "Sky Castle" (TV Asahi). Regarding his role, he said, "I could relate to a lot of the characters, and I've wanted to play this role since I read the script, so I was happy." He also reflected on the filming site, saying, "I felt that everyone on set was creating a work with great passion, and it was comfortable to act in that space." She said that she came up with the idea for the courtroom scenes herself, saying, "Because of the emotional connection of the character, I suggested that we try doing it throughout the entire courtroom scene, and everyone on set, including Shuri, Jesse, and Ishino, accepted my suggestion, and I was able to perform with that approach." Ishino, who plays the victim, commented on Sakamoto, saying, "He's pure, and it makes me want to cry." It was Ishino's first time meeting Shuri, but he said, "It didn't feel like we were meeting for the first time, it was so heartwarming. I was so happy to be able to work with him," and commented on Jesse from "SixTONES," who plays Sugiura, saying, "He's so cool!"
