A special visual has been released of Kamen Rider W's "phantom form," Cyclone Skull, which appears in the movie version of "Fuuto PI: Portrait of Kamen Rider Skull," based on the anime "Fuuto PI (Fuuto Tantei)," which is based on the manga sequel to the special effects drama "Kamen Rider W." Cyclone Skull was originally intended to be the basic form for Kamen Rider W that Narumi Soukichi and Philip transformed into, but it became a "phantom form" when Shotaro and Philip transformed into Kamen Rider W. Its full form was revealed for the first time in the movie version.
It was also announced that a Kamen Rider W Cyclone Skull figure will be released as "S.H.Figuarts (Real Bone Carving Method) Kamen Rider W Cyclone Skull" from Bandai Spirits' "S.H.Figuarts (Real Bone Carving Method)" series. Details will be announced at 10:00 a.m. on November 15th.
The movie version is an animated version of the popular episode "Begins Night," which reveals what happened to Hidari Shotaro, Philip, and Narumi Soukichi on the night Kamen Rider W was born. Following the anime series "Fuuto Tantei," which was distributed on the video distribution service "U-NEXT" from August 2022, it is directed by Kabashima Yosuke and produced by Studio KAI. It was released on November 8th.
"Fuuto PI (Fuuto Tantei)" has been serialized in "Weekly Big Comic Spirits" (Shogakukan) since August 2017. It depicts the buddy detective team of Hidari Shotaro and Philip, and the mysterious beauty Tokime, as they face a new strange incident that occurs in Fuuto. The drama staff has reunited, with screenwriter Sanjo Riku, known for the manga "DRAGON QUEST - The Adventures of Dai," in charge of creature design by illustrator Terada Katsuya, and supervision by Toei's Tsukada Hideaki.
