It has been announced that Season 3 of the new TV anime series "Kinnikuman : Perfect Origin Arc, " based on the popular fighting manga " Kinnikuman ," will be produced. The series will depict the aftermath of the battle between Kinnikuman, Buffalo Man and the Allied Forces of Justice and Devil, and Nemesis and the Perfect and Infinite Forces, at the special ring in the Tottori Sand Dunes. It has also been announced that a character song for "Perfect Origin Arc" will be produced.
The announcement was made at the "Kinnikuman Chojin Festival 2025" event held at Yokohama Budokan (Naka-ku, Yokohama) on August 3rd.
"The Perfect Origin Arc" is a popular sequel to "The Battle for the Throne of Planet Kinniku," depicting the arrival of a new threat, the Perfect and Infinite Armies, and a three-way battle with the Justice Chojin and Devil Chojin armies. The anime is produced by Production IG. Mamoru Miyano will play Kinnikuman, with Sumire Uesaka as Meat-kun and Daisuke Ono as Terryman. Season 1 aired from July to September 2024, and Season 2 aired from January to March 2025.
"Kinnikuman" is a popular fighting manga by Yudetamago, serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from 1979 to 1987. It depicts Kinnikuman, the no-good prince of Planet Kinniku, fighting evil supermen alongside righteous supermen. A sequel, "Kinnikuman II," began serialization in "Weekly Playboy" (Shueisha) in 1998. In 2011, the serialization of "Kinnikuman" resumed after a 24-year hiatus, generating much buzz, and it is currently being serialized in "Weekly Playboy" and "Shupure NEWS." The series reached its 100th volume in 2013. An anime television series began airing in April 1983, recording an average audience rating of approximately 20%. Seven animated films have also been produced. The original series has sold a total of over 77 million copies.
