The 28th episode of the second season of "Rurouni Kenshin: Meiji Swordsman Romantic Story," a new TV anime based on the popular manga by Nobuhiro Watsuki, titled "Portrait of an Ambitious Man," titled "Kyoto Uprising," will be broadcast on Fuji TV's late-night anime slot "Noitamina" and elsewhere from October 24th.
Kenshin and his friends set foot in Shingetsu Village, where the Mishima brothers had fled. The village is run by Shishio's subordinate, Kenkaku, and the villagers are afraid of his violence and can only obey, leaving it in a strange atmosphere. Kenshin heads to the mansion where Shishio is staying with Saito Hajime, who had heard about the village's current situation and was visiting. Behind the scenes, Eiji is burning with the desire to take revenge on Kenkaku.
