It has been announced that Hieda Nene and Koizumi Moeka will be appearing as voice actors in the TV anime series "Will He Become the Strongest Alchemist?", which is based on the popular light novel written by Kogitsunmaru and illustrated by Hitome. Hieda will play Reva, a fox-human girl, and Koizumi will play Mani, a rabbit-human woman. A key visual featuring all the main characters, including protagonist Iruma Takumi, Reva, and Mani, as well as the first promotional video, have also been released.
Hieda said about the character she plays, Reva, "She's pure, kind, polite, and has fox ears...she's so cute you'll want to protect her! Her reactions, such as her excitement when faced with alchemy, are honest and soothing. I hope everyone will also pay attention to the cuteness of the way she speaks, saying things like, 'It is.'" Koizumi commented, "I remember being very nervous about the dubbing because I hadn't had many opportunities to play adult women. Kayano Ai gave me advice, and I tried my best."
"Will I Become the Strongest Alchemist?" tells the story of Iruma Takumi, a salaryman who is not a hero but is caught up in a hero summoning and is unable to return to his original world. He uses the cheat skills bestowed upon him by the goddess Norn to try his life a second time in the fantasy world of Mildgard. The light novel was serialized on the novel and manga posting site "Alphapolis." A comic book adaptation is also being serialized. The series has sold over 1.2 million copies in total.
The anime will be directed by Kuzuya Naoyuki and produced by Studio Comet. It will air on TOKYO MX and BS11 from January 2025.
