It has been revealed that Yuri Kellerne from "Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team" will appear in "Mobile Suit Gundam: Requiem for Vengeance," a new installment in the popular Gundam anime series. Yuri Kellerne is a major general in command of the European Army, and is flying around Europe to respond to Operation Odessa, a major counterattack by the Federation Army. Meanwhile, he happens to meet his old acquaintance Solari at a recycling center and entrusts him with an important mission. The Japanese version will be voiced by Kyonosuke Kami.
It was also announced that in the Japanese version, Yoshitada Otsuka will play Major Rolf Lone, an officer in the Brigade Support Command, and Nozomi Urawa will play the Gundam EX pilot.
The series is an original 3D anime focusing on the European front of the One Year War from the first Mobile Suit Gundam series, and was created as a "Gundam for the world." 11 months after the outbreak of the One Year War, one of the bases under the occupation of the Zeon forces in Eastern Europe is seized by the Earth Federation Forces, and a mixed battalion including Illya Solari and the Red Wolf Corps, who have just come down from space, heads out to recapture it... This is the story. Produced by Bandai Namco Filmworks and SAFEHOUSE. Total of 6 episodes. Netflix started streaming worldwide on October 17th.
