The NHK Taiga drama "Dear Radiance (Hikaru Kimi e)" stars actress Yoshitaka Yuriko. The subtitle of the 41st episode, which will be broadcast on October 27th, is "Fluctuation," and the synopsis and scene cuts have been released. Due to the impact of the House of Representatives election results on the same day, NHK General TV will start at 7:10 pm, 50 minutes earlier than usual.

"Hikaru Kimi e" is the 63rd Taiga drama. Set in the aristocratic society of the mid-Heian period, the protagonist is Murasaki Shikibu (Mahiro), who later wrote "The Tale of Genji," said to be the world's oldest novel written by a woman. The script was written by Oishi Shizuka, who is writing a Taiga drama for the second time since "Koumyou ga Tsuji" in 2006, and depicts the glittering world of Heian aristocrats and the life of a woman who lived, wrote, and loved with all her heart.
In episode 41, a struggle for supremacy between the newly enthroned Emperor Sanjo (Kimura Tatsunari) and Michinaga (Emoto Tasuku) is already underway behind the scenes.
A pecking order dispute between Michinaga's sons also comes to the surface. Meanwhile, Mahiro (Yoshitaka) hosts a waka poetry gathering to comfort Akiko (Mikami Ai), who is grieving the loss of the Emperor. One day, Kikyou (First Summer Uika) turns up uninvited.
Furthermore, at Mahiro's family home, her daughter Kenko (Minami Sara) and the young warrior Sojumaru (Ito Kentaro) begin to develop a friendship... and so the story unfolds.
