Actor Ko Shibasaki attended the red carpet and premiere event for the movie "Dechiage: The Man Called Murderous Teacher" (directed by Takashi Miike, to be released on June 27th) held in Tokyo on June 16th. There was a scene where Kira Miura, the child actor who played the role of her son in the movie, said that she was "scary."
During the event, Takaya Sakoda, Ken Mitsuishi, and Kazuki Kitamura pointed out that Shibasaki had "scary eyes" while acting. Meanwhile, Kira commented, "Shibasaki's power during her acting is so strong that I would be scared if my mother was like that, and I would wonder what I would do," which caused the audience to erupt in laughter.
Kira revealed, "There's a scene where Takuto (the character he plays) gets quietly scolded by his mother about the contents of his school bag, and that part in particular made me feel like I was being really scolded." He expressed his gratitude, saying, "But I was happy that she was worried about me on my days off and always looked out for me." Shibasaki smiled and said, "Thank you."
