It has been revealed that the film "The Convenience Store" (directed by Nagae Jiro, scheduled for release on February 20, 2026), based on a popular horror game and starring actor Minami Kotona, will also feature Takezai Terunosuke, "ONE N' ONLY" actor Seki Tetsuta, Tanaka Shunsuke, Gozu Takeo, Sakurai Junko, and Kato Natsuki. The film's trailer has also been released.

"The Convenience Store" is a horror game released on Steam in February 2020 by the Japanese indie game development team "Chilla's Art." Immediately after its release, it was played by many game commentators and VTubers, and gameplay videos on YouTube have been viewed more than 60 million times (as of August 28). The game's realistic depictions of convenience stores, eerie graphics, and shocking presentation have become a hot topic through the commentary videos, and it is said to be spreading widely, especially on social media.

The film will be directed by Nagae, who is known for the "Kisaragi Station" series, and Minami will play Takano Tatsuru, a new part-time worker who works the late-night shift and is controlled by the in-game player. Takezai will play detective Shinji Saruwatari, and Seki will play Takuya Funabashi, a popular character from the original game.
