Actress Ai Tominaga will be hosting the talk variety show "THE Shin Sekai Summit" (TBS), which will air on June 6th at 3 p.m. Tominaga, who announced the birth of her second child in May, will be making her first television appearance since giving birth and will share her feelings about giving birth again after 21 years.
The program is a talk variety show that thoroughly discusses "changing common sense" that overturns what we previously considered normal, and the real new values of today.
The studio will feature "reverse age-gap couples" where the woman is older and the man is younger. The show will bring together people who have pursued unconventional love, such as "a couple who tied the knot despite a 21-year age difference with their daughter's classmate" and "a couple with a 14-year age difference who changed jobs to be together 24/7 and are now surrounded by nine children." The show will be hosted by Tominaga, Nagashima Kazushige, and Hikohirohee, and will feature impressionist comedians Mr. Shachihoko and Miharu, as well as Hirota Leona, who has a husband 22 years her junior, as panelists representing age-gap couples.
Tominaga commented, "There are all kinds of couples, and each has their own life. The stories we heard from everyone today are just one of many diverse forms, and I feel that in the future, the term 'age-gap marriage' itself will no longer be used to distinguish between different types of marriages. I think that as new forms of marriage that are not bound by age, like those of the people featured today, spread, Japan as a country will mature even more. I believe that this, too, is an important 'individuality' for the coming era."
