It has been announced that the first collaboration between the anime One Piece, based on the popular manga by Eiichiro Oda, and the US professional basketball NBA will see the release of a figure called One Piece x NBA Master Stars Piece The Monkey.D.Luffy (Bandai Spirits). The figure depicts Luffy dunking in the uniforms of various NBA teams. There are six types in total, each priced at 9,900 yen.
It will be sold at the "ONE PIECE BASE SHOP" which will open in the Shinjuku Marui Main Building (Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo) from December 5th. It will also be sold on the Bandai Namco Group's shopping site "Premium Bandai" from December 11th.
Future collaboration products will include stuffed toys and miscellaneous goods.
