The 35th episode of the NHK Asadora drama "Bakebake " (Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM and other times), in which Akari Takaishi plays the heroine, was broadcast on November 14th, and viewers were drawn to the interactions between Toki (Takaishi), Fumi ( Chizuru Ikewaki) and Sannojo(Rihito Itagaki).
Toki's family finds out that she is Heaven's (Tommy Bastow) maid. Furthermore, Tsukasanosuke(Takashi Okabe), Fumi, and Kan'emon (Fumiyo Kohinata) also find out about Tae (Keiko Kitagawa), who has become a beggar. Just as Toki's family is about to question her about keeping quiet about Tae, Sannojo arrives at the Matsuno residence.
Sannojo says, "After all, it has to be money you've earned with your own efforts..." and tries to return the 10 yen he received from Toki. When he explains that the money was entrusted to him by his late father, Den (Shinichi Tsutsumi), Fumi immediately replies, "No," and asks Toki, "That's 10 yen of the 20 yen you received from Heaven-sensei, right?"
Toki denies it at first, but then says, "My mother is right. This is half of the salary I received from Heaven Sensei. I gave it to my aunt because I wanted to save her from becoming a beggar." He continues, "To tell you the truth, I didn't take on that job because of our family's debts, but because I saw my aunt in that state," to which Fumi mutters, "I guess so," and leaves the house.
Toki chases after Fumi and apologizes, saying, "I'm sorry." When Fumi says, "I thought it would be okay to become a rasshamen (a Western concubine) for Lady Otae..." and "I thought it would be okay to sell my body for my biological parents...," Toki denies it, saying, "That's all wrong! It's completely wrong! Birth, upbringing, and things like that have nothing to do with it!" and declares, "It's all just for the sake of my family!"
Sannojo, who had been listening to their exchange, said, "I want you to remove me from Toki's family," and said that he wanted to save Tae with his own efforts. Toki emphasized, "Now is not the time to say such things!" and added, "You abandoned yourself. You abandoned yourself to become a Rashamen for your family. If you want to save my aunt, abandon yourself and take this!" and "If you still want to do it yourself, work hard and give this money back someday!"
Toki says she will give Sannojo 10 yen every month, and asks, "Is that okay? You will take it, right?"Sannojo doesn't answer, so Fumi says, "I'm telling you, you can take it," to which Sannojo, "I'll take it too." Fumi snaps, "I'll take it, right?"Sannojo bows his head and says, "I'll take it!", clutching the 9 yen in his hand, and says, "Thank you."
Comments on social media included, "It was a spectacular performance," "I cried that morning," "It was so, so good," "The moment Otoki became Sannojo's "older sister," "I felt a little better when Ofumi gave the yell," "Otoki's resolve to live with the weight of her family on her shoulders, and Fumi's yell at Sannojo. A great way to end the week," and "It's amazing how the script can express such a wide range of emotions in just 15 minutes."
