The 63rd All Japan Model Hobby Show, a model exhibition, opened on October 17th at Tokyo Big Sight (Koto Ward, Tokyo). At the Bandai Spirits booth, new Gunpla products such as Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuX were announced.
As a new product from "GQuuuuuuX," it was announced that a Hambrabi Gunpla model will be released in June 2026 as the "HG 1/144 Hambrabi (GQ)" from the "HG" series. Hambrabi transforms into an MA form, but details of the Gunpla's specifications have not been announced. The "HG 1/144 Sharia Rick Dom (GQ)," which has been announced for release in February 2026, was also unveiled.
A "mysterious Gunpla" from Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, which is also making headlines for its 10th anniversary, was also announced. Only the silhouette was revealed, and no further details were given. It will be sold on Bandai Namco Group's shopping site, Premium Bandai. More details will be announced in the future.
New products for "Mobile Suit Gundam Wing," celebrating its 30th anniversary, will also be released. The Gundam Sandrock Custom Kai EW from "Mobile Suit Gundam Wing Endless Walts" will be released in June 2026 as the "HG 1/144 Gundam Sandrock Custom Kai EW" from the "HG" series. The cape will be made of a new soft material.
The Gunpla "MG 1/100 Full Armor ZZ Gundam Ver. Ka" of the Full Armor ZZ Gundam from "Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ," which was announced for commercialization in August and has been much talked about, was also unveiled. The Full Armor ZZ Gundam will be made into a three-dimensional model as part of the "MG Ver. Ka" series produced by designer Hajime Katoki. It will be released in February 2026.
The Gunpla "HG 1/144 Gustav Karl OO Type" from "Mobile Suit Gundam: Hathaway's Flash," the second part of which is scheduled to be released on January 30, 2026, was also unveiled. This Gunpla features the latest gimmicks and range of motion, and will be released in February 2026.
It was also announced that a Gunpla model "MG 1/100 New Astray Red Frame (tentative title)" from "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Freedom SEED FREEDOM," will be released. Details such as the release date will be announced in the future.
Although it is not for sale, a diorama of a Gundam emerging from the "other side" of "GQuuuuuuX" will also be on display. It recreates the scene where a "hyper (giant)" Gundam fights GQuuuuuuX and GFreD, and is sure to be a hot topic.
The All Japan Model Hobby Show is a model exhibition that began in 1963. This year's exhibitors include Bandai Spirits, Tamiya, Kotobukiya, Aoshima Bunka Kyozai, Good Smile Company, and more. October 17th is an invitation day for related parties, while the 18th and 19th are open to the general public. Tickets are 1,200 yen on the day, and 1,000 yen in advance.
