The seventh episode of the NHK Asadora drama series "Bakebake " (Monday to Saturday, 8:00 AM and other times), starring Akari Takaishi in the second half of 2025, was broadcast on October 7th, and viewers responded to the meaningful words and actions of Tsukasanosuke(played by Takashi Okabe) and Fumi (played by Chizuru Ikewaki).
In the seventh episode, Toki (Takaishi) is anxious to get married soon. However, at the factory, following Sen (Adachi Kino), Chiyo (Anna Kurasawa)'s marriage is also decided according to the love fortune-telling. Unable to bear seeing Toki in despair, the factory's president and relative , Den Ushimizu(Shinichi Tsutsumi), invites Toki to a "rendezvous" to cheer her up.
Den takes Toki to Seikoin Temple, the setting of Matsukaze's ghost story, and Toki, who loves ghost stories, is delighted. Toki has completely regained his energy, and Den tells Toki that Tae (Keiko Kitagawa) is looking for a good matchmaking partner, so he can leave the wedding ceremony to her.
That night, when Toki returned home later than usual, Tsukasanosuke and Fumi asked her why. Hearing that she had gone out alone with Den, Tsukasanosuke and Fumi pressed her on where she had gone and what she had done. When Toki said that she had only told ghost stories at Seikoin Temple, Tsukasanosuke and Fumi were shocked and wondered if that was all.
Toki said, "I was wondering why my uncle and aunt dote on me, a distant relative, as if I were their own child," to which Tsukasanosuke replied, "That's because... they just love their relatives," to which Fumi replied, "They just think you're cute. They've been watching you since you were a baby." When Tsukasanosuke said, "Well, they're just really fond of Toki," Kan'emon (Fumiyo Kohinata) tried to evade the question by saying, "Well, well, it's a good thing either way."
In episode 6 (broadcast October 6th), Fumi visits the Ushimizu family and asks Tae if she can help find a match for Toki. When Tae reveals that she has already started looking for a partner, Fumi murmurs meaningfully, "Already? Is that so..." and replies, "In that case, I wish you had told me earlier. As the child's mother, I think so." Tae looks taken aback and apologizes, saying, "That's... I got ahead of myself."
The meaningful exchanges depicted in episodes 6 and 7 have led to comments on social media such as, "Is there a secret about Toki's birth?", "There really is something to it," "It's hard to believe that he's so fond of his relatives," "There seems to be something unusual going on behind the scenes of Toki's birth," "Oh, it seems like there's something he's hiding," "Could Toki's real parents be...?" and "It looks like something dramatic is going to happen."
