Actress Kaho appeared at the "TBS DRAMA COLLECTION 2025 Autumn" joint production presentation for TBS's October dramas, held in Tokyo on October 4th. Kaho, who stars in the drama series "Jaa, Anta ga Tsukutte Miro yo It" (Tuesdays at 10pm, starting October 7th), reunited with Koichi Sato, with whom she co-starred as father and daughter in the film "Naturally Coo-Doo" (released in 2007), for the first time in about 20 years. "When we worked together, I was a middle school student. I've grown up. I've grown up," she said with deep emotion.
During a question and answer session between the cast members, Sato asked Kaho, "How are you?" to which Kaho replied with a smile, "I'm doing well and doing well." Sato then showed a fatherly side and said, "Just hearing that made me happy. It was good to see Kaho smile for the first time in 20 years."
During the Q&A session, Koji Mukai of Snow Man started a conversation about "how to memorize lines." Takeuchi Ryoma, who co-stars with Kaho in "Jaa, Anta ga Tsukutte Miro yo It," said, "I wonder how I remember my lines... They just come to me. Like spring water. That's the type of thing." Hearing this, Meguro chimed in, "If they come to you, then you're a screenwriter (laughs)," drawing laughter.
In the drama, Takeuchi plays the patriarchal Ebiwara Katsuo. When asked about his role, Takeuchi said, "I didn't do anything special to prepare for the role this time. The content is almost entirely me. It's fun because it's linked together. Please be sure to watch it!"
"Jaa, Anta ga Tsukutte Miro yo It" is based on the manga of the same name by Taniguchi Natsuko, which is currently being serialized in the digital comic magazine "Comic Tanto" (Bunkasha), and is a hotly talked about work that won first place in the "CREA Late Night Manga Awards" and fourth place in the "This Kono Manga ga Sugoi! 2025" Women's Edition. Yamagishi Ayumi (Kaho), who cooks elaborate meals for her lover and puts her "lover first," and Ebihara Katsuo (Takeuchi), who has a somewhat rare patriarchal mentality in the Reiwa era, have been dating since their university days, and they have gotten used to living together and things seem to be going well. Eventually, Katsuo makes the perfect proposal to Ayumi, but she unexpectedly replies, "No way." The story is about how, through the opportunity to "cook," they reexamine what they took for granted and grow as people.
The event was also attended by Satoshi Tsumabuki, Wakana Matsumoto , and Sato, who appear in the Sunday Theatre drama "The Royal Family" (Sundays at 9pm, starting October 12th), Yuzu Aoki and Maehara Mizuki, who appear in " Jaa, Anta ga Tsukutte Miro yo It, " and Haru, Kawaei Rina Kawaei, and Nakamura Aoi, who appear in the drama series "Fake Mummy" (Fridays at 10pm, starting October 10th).
