The key visual for the new series "Assassination of Serizawa," based on the anime series " The Blue Wolves of Mibu, " based on the Shinsengumi manga by Tsuyoshi Yasuda , known for the soccer manga "DAYS," has been released. The PV has also been released on YouTube, and in it, the scenes change from the friendly atmosphere of the Mibro members who deepened their bonds in the first season of the TV anime to one of Serizawa Kamo vomiting with a pained expression on his face.
" The Blue Wolves of Mibu" has been serialized in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha) since 2021. Set in Kyoto at the end of the Edo period, the story depicts the lives of the Shinsengumi. The story follows Chirinunio, a boy who is honest, kind, and family-oriented, but who also has a burning desire for justice deep in his heart, as he meets Hijikata Toshizo and Okita Soji of the Mibu-Ran, a group of ronin who are hated by others.
The first season of the TV anime aired on Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV from October 2024 to March 2025. The new series, "The Assassination of Serizawa," will air on the same stations every Saturday at 5:30 pm starting December 20th.
