"Anpan" Episode 103: Viewers look forward to "Yam-onchan"'s return

The 103rd episode of the NHK Asadora drama series "Anpan " (General TV, Monday to Saturday at 8:00 AM and other times), starring Mio Imada , was broadcast on August 20th, and there was a scene in which Hatako ( Noriko Eguchi) brought up the topic of Kusakichi (Sadao Abe), a wandering baker known as "Yam-on-chan," which attracted the attention of viewers.

In episode 103, Hatako returns to Tokyo for the first time in a long while, bringing along a familiar face. Accompanying her is Konno Kota (Sakurai Kento), a childhood friend of Nobu (Imada) and Taka (Takumi Kitamura), who served in the same Kokura Regiment as Taka. Kota rents the space of the Asada Stonemasonry and Asada Bread, which have both taken down their signs, and decides to open Tamago Shokudo.

Later, Ranko (Yuumi Kawai) and Meiko (Nanoka Hara) come to visit the Yanai household. When Ranko finds out that Hatako will be helping out at Tamago Shokudo, she suggests that she try baking bread again like she used to. Hatako reveals that although she has baked bread several times, "without Yam-san, the taste of those Anpan wouldn't come out the same."

On social media, people were saying things like, "Is this a hint that Yam-chan will return?", "If only Yam-san would come to Tamago Shokudo...", "Will Yam return to Tamago Shokudo and start baking bread again?", "No one can imitate the taste of Yam-chan's bread", and "Maybe we'll see them reunite soon?"
