Looking back on the 20th week of the Asadora"Anpan"

The NHK Asadora drama series "Anpan " starring Mio Imada (General TV, Monday to Saturday 8:00 AM and others) will be broadcast on August 16th, looking back on the 20th week, "Look Up at the Stars at Night" (August 11th to 15th).

" Anpan" is based on the married couple Takashi Yanase(1919-2013), the manga artist and picture book author who created "Anpanman," and his wife, Nobu (1918-1993). It is a "story of love and courage" that will fill you with the joy of living, depicting how these two, who were once nobodys, overcame all sorts of rough seas to become "Anpanman," the embodiment of "unreversible justice."

In the 20th week, Takashi (Takumi Kitamura), who retired from the department store, joined a group called the Original Manga Group and was doing the work assigned to him there, but it was not going smoothly. Seven years have passed since then, but there is still no sign that Takashi will be successful as a manga artist.

One day, Takuya Ise(Motoki Omori Motoki) comes to the Yanai family with Rokuhara Eisuke (Todo Hinata) and asks if they would be willing to work on the stage art for the musical "Look Up at the Stars at Night."

Intimidated by Takuya and Eisuke's enthusiasm, Takashi accepts the job of stage art. The performance ends successfully, but Takuya comes to the Yanai household again later and asks him to write the lyrics, but this time Takashi refuses. Takashi felt that he was "stuck" as a manga artist.

Meanwhile, Nobu begins helping out at Yagi's (Satoshi Tsumabuki) shop without telling Taka. Having heard that Taka had turned down a songwriting job in order to prioritize his manga, Yagi reveals that he had long felt Taka had talent as a poet. Nobu then encourages the troubled Taka by telling him, "Just try anything."
