On July 18th, movie ticket cards and other advance tickets for the movie version of " Chainsaw Man " based on the popular manga by Tatsuki Fujimoto currently being serialized on Shueisha's manga app " Chainsaw Man +", went on sale. Large banners featuring a visual of Chainsaw Man facing off against Bomb were unveiled at movie theaters nationwide. It was also announced that each movie theater will have a large stand panel of Chainsaw Man shouting on Beam's back, as well as a cute mini stand panel of Pochita.
It has been announced that the soundtrack for the film will be released worldwide on September 19th. A special edition will be released in December, featuring a wide variety of music by music composer Kensuke Ushio. A special collaboration project will be held at the Tachikawa Festival Fireworks Display at Showa Memorial Park, which will be held on July 26th. Original fans exclusive to the venue will be distributed, and an announcement will be made by Kikunosuke Toya, the voice of Denji.
The "Reze" episode will be the story of Reze and the main character Denji, who also appeared at the end of the TV anime broadcast from October to December 2022 and became a hot topic. While Denji is enjoying a date with his crush Makima, he takes shelter from the rain and meets Reze, a girl who works at a cafe. The story is directed by Tatsuya Yoshihara, who was the action director for the TV anime, and produced by MAPPA. Singer-songwriter Kenshi Yonezu will be in charge of the theme song "IRIS OUT".
"Chainsaw Man" is a dark hero action story about a boy named Denji who is possessed by a demon and works as a devil hunter. The first part was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from December 2018 to December 2020. The second part has been serialized in "Shonen Jump +" since July 2022.
