It has been announced that Manny Pacquiao, the Philippine national hero who has won major world titles in six weight classes in boxing, will be making his comeback in about four years, and will be broadcast live on WOWOW Live.
His comeback bout will be the WBC World Welterweight Championship Match to be held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, USA on July 19 (local time). It will be the first time Pacquiao has stepped into the ring in about four years since his WBA World Welterweight Championship match in August 2021. The third WBC title defense will be against the legendary boxer, champion Mario Barrios. If Pacquiao wins, he will break his own record as the oldest welterweight champion in history.
The semi-final on the same day will be the WBC World Super Welterweight Championship match between Sebastian Fundora and Tim Chu. "Live Broadcast! Exciting Match SP 'Pacquiao vs. Barrios' and 'Fundora vs. Chu'" will be broadcast on WOWOW Live at 9:00 am on July 20th.
