TV Tokyo's popular information variety show "Idoutou! Admachi Tengoku" (Saturday 9pm) will feature Noge, known as Yokohama's leading drinking district, on its June 7th broadcast.
Noge is also known as a "deep paradise for alcohol lovers," with many unique bars and many customers going bar-hopping. You can also enjoy street performances, rakugo, and manzai. The program will introduce whale dishes that tell the history of Noge, fluffy satsumaage that is popular at a bar run by a pompadour bartender, a bar that specializes in highballs, tea, and hoppy, and yakitori that is highly praised by foodies.
Also featured will be a stew mixed with rice from a long-established Western restaurant, a revived local Chinese dish called chow mein, and cake, which has become a new staple when bar-hopping.
The guests are actor Shosuke Tanihara and comedian Hikorohi.
