In episode 48, Nobu (Imada) and Jiro (Ayumu Nakajima) visit the Asada family. On the way back, Nobu tells Jiro what he wants to do when the war is over. After a brief, enjoyable time together, the day of Jiro's departure arrives. Nobu asks Jiro if there's something he hasn't told him. Jiro finally reveals his true feelings, entrusts his camera to Nobu, and departs.
