Information on the fourth stage play "Stage Play Jujutsu Kaisen Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu " based on Gege Akutami 's popular manga " Jujutsu Kaisen " was announced on May 26th, along with the main visuals of Satoru Gojo and Suguru Geto Suguru from their days at Jujutsu Technical College. The episode "Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu" from Gojo and Geto's time at Jujutsu Technical College will be adapted for the stage, and it has been revealed that in addition to Miura Ryosuke as Gojo and Fujita Rei as Geto, who have been appearing since the Shoko Ieiri and Minami Yoshihiro as Yaga Masamichi will be continuing in their roles.
It was also announced that Yuki Maekawa will play the role of Yuu Yu Haibara, a student at the technical college, Kento Nanami will play Kento Nanami, and Yuuki Toji, who holds the key to the story. Visuals of each character were also released.
The play will be performed at the Tennozu Galaxy Theatre (Shinagawa, Tokyo) from August 22nd to 31st, and at Sky Theatre MBS from September 5th to 7th.
"Jujutsu Kaisen" is a manga that was serialized in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha) from March 2018 to September 2024. The story is about a high school student, Yuji Itadori, who is thrown into a world of battles over curses after a powerful "cursed object" is unsealed. The total number of copies of the comic series published is over 100 million.
The first season of the TV anime aired from October 2020 to March 2021. The movie version "Jujutsu Kaisen 0 to the first season, was released in December 2021 and was a huge hit, earning approximately 13.75 billion yen at the domestic box office and approximately 26.5 billion yen at the worldwide box office. The second season of the TV anime "Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu/ Shibuya Incident" aired from July to December 2023. The production of a sequel to the anime, "Culling Game ", has also been announced. " Jujutsu Kaisen : The Movie Compilation Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu ", a compilation of "Kaigyoku/Gyokusetsu", will be released on May 30th.
