" King-Ohger DAY," an event featuring cast members of the Super Sentai series "Ohsama Sentai King-Ohger, " which will air from 2023 to 2024, was held on May 20th at Shinjuku Wald 9 (Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo).
The cast members, Sakai Taisei (Kuwagata Oger/Gira Hasty), Aoto Watanabe(Tombo Oger/Yanma Gust), Erica Murakami ( Kamakiri Oger/Himeno Ran), Hirakawa Yuzuki (Papillon Oger/Rita Kaniska), So Kaku(Hachi Oger/Kaguragi Dybowski), and Ikeda Masashi (Spider Monos/Jeramie Brassiere), appeared together with Director Kato Hiroyuki and Kuji Reihito, the producer who has supported "King-Ohger". It had been about a year since all the King-Ohger had gathered together, and the venue was packed with fans.
First, he mentioned the "All Super Sentai Grand Poll" that was broadcast on NHK BS on May 17th and became a hot topic, and Sakai greeted the audience with his ranking, saying "I'm Sakai Taisei, ranked 15th," which drew laughter from the audience. Next, Hirakawa announced his ranking in his greeting, saying "12th place," Yoshihisa in "72nd place," and Ikeda in "4th place," and shared his joy with the fans.
"King-Ohger" is currently showing a V-Cinema Next series, "Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger VS King-Ohger, " which depicts what happens after the final episode. In the talk corner, in response to the question, "If a sequel to V-Cinema Next was made?", Ikeda suggested, "A thrilling hot spring trip!", to which the other cast members agreed, saying, "That sounds good, it sounds fun!". Yoshihisa then became Kaguragi and said, "Is this Hakone? That's nice," entertaining the fans. Murakami also suggested further visions, saying, "Everyone comes to Ishabana (the country ruled by Himeno) and becomes a citizen of Ishabana! They'll even wear hair and makeup and costumes."
There was also a Q&A session with fans, and when asked how it felt to wear the costume for the first time in a while, Hirakawa said, "It's hot!", while expressing that the Rita costume was still hot, and added, "It made me feel tense. I wonder if I've been able to maintain my figure." Watanabe, who shaved his head for a role in another work, completely different from when he was in the TV series, commented, "I thought that a shaved head suited the character of a dragonfly."
Finally, Sakai gave a speech on behalf of the group, thanking the fans, saying, "Thank you for King-Ohger in the NHK All Super Sentai Grand Poll (in the work category). This once again confirms how much this work is loved by so many people. I hope you continue to love King-Ohger. Please watch the movie as many times as you like. Thank you for today."
