The "HG 1/144 Light Cannon" (Bandai Spirits), a Gunpla (plastic model) of the light cannon that appears in the latest installment of the popular anime "Gundam" series, "Mobile Suit Gundam GQuuuuuuX," was exhibited at the "63rd Shizuoka Hobby Show" (organized by the Shizuoka Model Teaching Materials Cooperative), a model exhibition currently being held at Twin Messe Shizuoka (Suruga Ward, Shizuoka City).
The Gunpla model's appeal is its range of motion, which allows it to recreate the movements seen in the film, and it comes with a rifle, saber, and flat hand parts. The cannon part can move on one axis. On sale in July. 2,200 yen. The Gunpla model of Sayla's light cannon, "HG 1/144 Sayla's Light Cannon," was also on display. The Shizuoka Hobby Show is an exhibition that has been held since 1959 in Shizuoka City, where many model makers' factories are located. This year's show will be held from May 14th to 18th, with the 17th and 18th being open to the public. Advance registration is required for admission.
