Manga artists Fujita Kazuhiro's new series "Silver Mountain" and Shimamoto Kazuhiko's new series "Vampire Tagiru" began in issue 23 of "Weekly Shonen Sunday" (Shogakukan), released on May 7th. The cover of the issue is a "collaboration cover" featuring characters from both works, and was introduced as "Double new series!!!!!" A conversation between Fujita and Shimamoto was also published.
"Silver Mountain" is a fairyland fantasy tale drawn by Fujita, who is known for "Ushio and Tora" and other works. A boy who was kidnapped by a tengu and taken to a fairyland tells the story of the existence of an unbelievable world.
This will be Shimamoto's first "return" to "Weekly Shonen Sunday" in about 33 years. "Vampire Idol Ko" is a story in which Shimamoto will portray "idols" with his burning brush. The first solo live performance of the idol group "Vanflame", to which the main character, Chishoko, belongs, was being held at the Animate Theater, which spreads out underground in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, but something strange happened in the middle of the performance...
The issue comes with a supplement called "The Book of One Eye," which contains a number of hand-drawn cuts by Gosho Aoyama from the latest " Detective Conan" animated film, "Detective Conan: One-Eyed Flashback of the One Eye."
