In the 28th episode, Takami (Takumi Kitamura) invites his classmate Kentaro (Fumiya Takahashi) to visit the bakery "Mimuraya" in Ginza. Gou asks, "Did you ever go to war, Yam?" but Kusakichi doesn't answer. After a moment of silence, Kusakichi asks Gou, "Well, you should just think of yourself as going to hell and do everything you want to do before you go. Isn't there anyone you want to eat or a woman you want to meet?"
