The work is a light novel written by Matsuri Iku and illustrated by Nanna Fujimi. Set in a world where humanity has lost the ability to use magic due to the chanting of incantations, it depicts the exploits of Monica Everett, the "Silent Witch," a young genius magician who created the first chantless magic in history. Although Monica is one of the Seven Sages, the pinnacle of magicians in the Kingdom of Ridil, she is extremely shy and nervous around people, and retreats to the mountains to quietly study magic, but is ordered to infiltrate a prestigious school where aristocrats gather and take on a top-secret mission to protect the second prince.
The light novel is published by Kadokawa Books (KADOKAWA), and the comic book adaptation is also gaining popularity. The total number of copies of the series has exceeded 750,000. Saya Aizawa will play Monica in the anime. It will start airing in July.
