It has been announced that nonco's romantic comedy manga "Kanan-sama wa Akumade Choroi," which is currently being serialized in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha), will be adapted into a TV anime in 2026. Studio KAI will be producing the anime. A teaser visual featuring the gourmet demon Kanan has also been released.
The series began serialization in Weekly Shonen Magazine in June 2022. It depicts the first love of Canaan, a gourmet demon who descends upon a high school in the human world to devour the souls of young and sweet humans. Canaan, who is "easy and cute" with no experience in love, enters into a romantic contract with the naturally positive high school boy, Kuiki Youji. The latest 9th volume of the comic will be released on April 16th.
Original author nonco commented, "Thank you so much for making it into an anime! I'm happy to be able to see Kanan and the others in action!"
