It was revealed on April 12th that an anime adaptation of "STEEL BALL RUN", the seventh part of Hirohiko Araki's popular manga series "JOJO'S BIZARRE ADVENTURE Adventure", will be produced. The title is "Steel Ball Run: JOJO'S BIZARRE ADVENTURE's Bizarre Adventure", and image visuals, visuals of the main characters Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppeli, and a special trailer have been released. Part 7 is set in late 19th century America and depicts a horse race across North America. The announcement was made at the "JOJODAY STAGE" event held on the same day.
The protagonist is Johnny Joestar, a former genius jockey who is now partially paralyzed, who forms a cooperative relationship with the mysterious outlaw Gyro Zeppeli and races together. The two of them aim for the finish line of the race, where a terrible conspiracy is swirling behind the huge prize money.
"JOJO'S BIZARRE ADVENTURE Adventure" is a popular manga that began serialization in Weekly Shonen Jump (published by the same publisher) in 1986. It has gained popularity for its epic story depicting the blood ties and fate of the Joestar family, which begins with the meeting of two boys, Jonathan Joestar and Dio Brando, as well as its unique onomatopoeic expressions and impressive standing poses.
