It has been revealed that the number of viewers (simultaneous or catch-up streaming) of the first episode (April 1st) of the new NHK "Drama 10" series " Shiawase wa tabete nete mate " (General TV, Tuesday 10pm), Yuki Sakurai actress Asadora, on NHK Plus was the highest of any drama series in the station's history, excluding its morning drama series and historical dramas.
The drama is based on the manga of the same name by Tori Mizunagi. The main character, who is troubled by various issues such as health, work, apartments, and future plans, regains her mind and body through delicious medicinal food and the gentle human relationships of the housing complex, and realizes the happiness that is close to her and depends on her. It is a heartwarming story that will warm your heart.
Satoko Mugimaki, played by Sakurai, suffers from a lifelong illness (collagen disease), quits her company, and ends up working part-time four days a week, barely managing to get by. Although she can still live a normal life, her body cries out when she pushes herself too hard. She gives up on renewing her apartment lease and starts living in a housing complex with a rent of 50,000 yen. She hesitates because her landlord lives next door, but what makes her decide is the soup and medicinal food made by the mysterious freeloader, Tsukasa. She has many scars, including stress from her previous workplace, but little by little, as the seasons change, change comes.
Mariko Kaga plays Suzu Miyama, the landlord and next door neighbor of Satoko's rented room, and Hio Miyazawa plays Hio Miyazawa, Suzu's roommate who is a mysterious man who doesn't talk much about himself. Seiji Fukushi, Tomoko Tabata, Yuto Nakayama, Aoi Okuyama, Kii Kitano, Jun Nishiyama, Shiori Doi, Shiori Doi Nakayama, and Mayumi Asaka also appear in the film.
In the first episode, Mugimaki Satoko, who has contracted a lifelong illness, tries to survive on her own by working part-time four days a week. Giving up on her dream of buying an apartment, she finds a 45-year-old apartment complex with rent of 50,000 yen. The landlord is 90 years old. Satoko, who has been hesitant to socialize since she became ill, feels depressed. However, she is saved by the warm soup made by the mysterious Tsukasa-kun, who is staying with the landlord. Satoko becomes interested in the couple, who have incorporated medicinal food into their lives, and decides to live in the complex... and so the story unfolds.
