The announcement was made after the 24th episode, "Blue Oath," the final episode of the first season, was broadcast on March 29th on the Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV networks.
The teaser visual and special trailer for the second season were also released. The visual shows Oi sobbing alone in the pouring rain, with the line, "What should I have done?"
" The Blue Wolves of Mibu" has been serialized in "Weekly Shonen Magazine" (Kodansha) since 2021. Set in Kyoto at the end of the Edo period, it depicts the life of the Shinsengumi . The story is about a boy named Chirinunio who is honest, kind, and family-oriented, but deep in his heart he burns with justice, and he meets Hijikata Toshizo and Okita Soji of the Hijikata Toshizo -nami, a group of ronin who are hated by others.
The first season of the TV anime began airing on Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV every Saturday at 5:30 pm from October 2024, with the final episode airing on March 29th.
