Newly taken photos and a handwritten profile of Saki Katayama, a 5th generation member who will be joining the idol group Hinatazaka46, have been released.
Katayama is 18 years old and was born on December 26, 2006. She is from Saitama Prefecture. "I am very happy to be able to join Hinatazaka46, which I have always admired. I will do my best in everything so that I can give back to this group that I love! I would be happy if you would support me. I look forward to the day when I can deliver my happy aura to all the Ohisama fans. Please wait for me!" she wrote.
The 5th generation members were selected to join Hinatazaka46 after auditions were held in August last year. Eleven members passed, but one declined, leaving just 10 members in the final group.
Starting at noon on March 24th, new photos and handwritten profiles will be released every day at noon for five consecutive days. She will also appear at the "6th Hina Birthday Festival" live concert to be held at Yokohama Stadium (Naka-ku, Yokohama) on April 5th and 6th.
