Tojima Tanzaburo wa Kamen Rider ni Naritai:The TV anime will be broadcast in 2025. Katsuyuki Konishi will play the main character, Tanzaburo Higashijima, and the director will be Takahiro Ikezoe. Produced by LIDEN FILMS.

It has been announced that the TV anime "Tojima Tanzaburo wa Kamen Rider ni Naritai," based on a manga by Yokusaru Shibata, who is known for works such as "Hachi-One Diver," will be broadcast in 2025. It was also announced that voice actor Katsuyuki Konishi Konishi will play the main character, Higashijima Tanzaburou, who is still serious about becoming a Kamen Rider even at the age of 40. Visuals of Konishi posing with a Kamen Rider mask, just like Higashijima Tanzaburou on the cover of the original comic, as well as an interview video have been released.

Konishi commented, "I've always loved the sensei's work and have been reading it for a long time. I was promoting this work in various places, saying 'This is interesting!' Then I heard about it being made into an anime and auditioning. I said 'I definitely want to do it!' and recorded my audition tape while choking up, and when I heard the results I was incredibly happy. The staff and cast all worked with 'tremendous passion' on the anime, and I believe it has brought out 120% to 200% of the charm of the sensei's original work. Please look forward to it airing in 2025! 'Rider Punch!!!'"

The main staff was also announced, with Takahiro Ikezoe as director, Douko Machida as series composer, Cindy H. Yamauchi as character designer, and TeddyLoid as music composer. LIDEN FILMS will produce the anime.

A teaser visual and PV were also released, depicting Higashijima at the moment he delivers a Rider Punch.

The series began serialization in "Monthly Heroes" (Heroes, currently out of publication) in 2018, and is currently being serialized on the manga distribution site "Comiplex" (same publisher). It depicts adults who love "Kamen Rider" too much, "playing Kamen Rider in earnest." The story is about Higashijima Tanzaburou, who was serious about becoming "Kamen Rider" even at the age of 40, but just when he was about to give up on his dream, he gets caught up in a "fake Shocker" robbery case that is causing a stir in the world. Ishimori Productions and Toei are cooperating with the series.
