ONE PIECE:Official spin-off "One Piece Love" to be made into a short anime starring Ryosuke Kanemoto, Ayane Sakura, and Yuichi Nakamura

It has been announced that "Koisuru One Piece", the official spin-off manga of Eiichiro Oda's popular manga "ONE PIECE", will be made into an anime. The short vertical anime will be distributed on the "ONE PIECE" official YouTube channel, TikTok, and Instagram at 8pm every day from April 1st to 5th. The main cast has also been announced, with Kanemoto Ryosuke playing the role of Yamamoto Pirate King (Luffy), Ayane Sakura playing Koyama Nami (Nami), and Yuichi Nakamura playing Nakatsugawa Usofu ( Usopp ).

"One Piece Love" is a manga by Daiki Ihara that began serialization on Shueisha's manga app "Shonen Jump +" in 2018. It is a humorous depiction of the daily lives of high school students who share the same names as the Straw Hat Pirates from "One Piece."

The anime adaptation was announced at a stage event at AnimeJapan 2025, one of the world's largest anime events currently being held at Tokyo Big Sight (Koto-ku, Tokyo), and voice actors Kanemoto, Sakura, and Nakamura made a surprise appearance.

At the event, new information about "ONE PIECE" was announced, along with the announcement that the radio program "Straw Hat Crew's All Night Nippon GOLD" will be broadcast on Nippon Broadcasting System from 10pm on May 9th. It was also announced that "ONE PIECE" will collaborate with Borussia Dortmund of Germany's professional soccer league, the Bundesliga, and the collaboration visuals were released. The collaboration will take place at the home game against Mainz on March 30th (local time). Video messages from Dortmund players Julian Brand, Karim Adeyemi, and Julien Duranville, who are all big "ONE PIECE" fans, were also released.

The TV anime "ONE PIECE" began airing in October 1999, and has been broadcast on Fuji TV every Sunday at 9:30 am since October 2006. From October 20, 2024 to March 30, 2025, there will be a "recharging period," during which the production team is preparing to further improve the quality of the anime. During this period, the "SPECIAL EDITED VERSION 'ONE PIECE' Fishman Island Arc" is currently airing. On April 6, the time slot will move from 9:30 am on Sundays, where it has been broadcast for about 18 years, to 11:15 pm on Sundays, and the series will be broadcast nationwide.

On April 5th, the day before the time slot change, at 9pm, a special edition of One Piece: Egghead will be broadcast on Fuji TV's Saturday Premium. The special edition of the first part of the Egghead arc that has been broadcast so far, as well as episode 1123, the first episode of the second part, will be broadcast.

"ONE PIECE" depicts the adventures of Luffy, a young man with a straw hat whose limbs can stretch like rubber, as he and his companions set out on an adventure across the open seas in an attempt to become the King of the Pirates. The series began serialization in 1997 in "Weekly Shonen Jump" (Shueisha).
