It has been announced that "Eric Clapton: Nothing But the Blues," which includes live footage of guitarist and singer-songwriter Eric Clapton, will be released in theaters from April 18th, distributed by WOWOW.
Clapton, who will be 80 at the end of March, faced the blues head-on in one of his works, the 1994 album "From the Cradle," which featured covers of classic blues songs. "Eric Clapton 'Nothing but the Blues'" includes footage of the live performance at the Fillmore in San Francisco on November 8 and 9, 1994, during the blues-inspired tour that accompanied this album.
In addition to an interview with the man himself conducted by executive producer Martin Scorsese, the DVD also includes documentary footage including interviews with blues musicians such as Muddy Waters and B.B. King.
Advance tickets (online) for Mubichike will be on sale from March 19th. The price is 1,600 yen.
