FamilyMart has begun selling two new types of Omusubi supervised by rice ball specialty store "Bongo," as well as two types of "large Omusubi" that are about 1.5 times the size of the standard rice balls, in stores nationwide from March 4th.
FamilyMart also signed an ambassador contract with Major League Baseball player Shohei Ohtani, appointing him as the "FamilyMart Omusubi Ambassador." A new commercial featuring Ohtani was released.
