The final tournament of the US Women's Golf Tour Asia Series, the Blue Bay LPGA, will begin on March 6th at the Jiang Lake Blue Bay GC in China. WOWOW will broadcast and stream live every day from 1pm on the same day. Nine Japanese players, including Ayaka Furue, Miyu Yamashita, Miyu Yamashita, and Reo Takeda, are taking part. WOWOW interviewed Furue in advance.
--Last week you finished in a tie for second place, which I think was a great result. How did it feel?
I played good golf overall over the four days, and I was able to play with confidence, so I think I was able to finish well.
--You had great results on this course last year, finishing in the top positions, so how does it feel to be back again?
The green is very undulating, so I think that will be a challenge.
--I think your play is getting better and better, but is there any area where you feel you have improved?
I feel like I'm hitting the shots without being afraid, so I think the ball flies straight.
--I imagine it will be very hot in Thailand, Singapore, and China during the Asia Series, so how are you feeling physically?
I feel like I'm gradually becoming more tired, but I think that will be solved if I get a good night's sleep, so I'll switch gears and do my best while also taking measures against the heat.
--So, please tell us your enthusiasm for this week.
I want to be able to be myself and have confidence in myself, so I'll do my best to aim for the top spots.
*WOWOW will broadcast the tournament live on WOWOW Live and WOWOW On Demand every day. The first day will be on March 6th at 1pm, the second day on the 7th at 1pm, the third day on the 8th at 1pm, and the final day on the 9th at 1pm.
