It has been announced that Kondo Shinsuke's manga "Ninja and Yakuza," which is currently being serialized on Kodansha's web manga service "Comic DAYS," will be adapted into a TV anime. A visual drawn by Kondo to announce the TV anime adaptation has been released. It depicts two characters facing each other, with the copy, "Shall we decide... Ninja and Yakuza, who will live and who will perish?" To commemorate the TV anime adaptation, "Comic DAYS" is making all chapters except for the most recent one available for free. Available until noon on March 3rd.
The story is about a ninja named Shino who cannot laugh due to a trauma he has experienced, and a gangster named Kiwami who is an elite company employee on the surface but controls his gang behind the scenes. The flames of a 300-year-old battle between ninjas and gangsters burn hot... It depicts the exchange of lives between lonely men. The comics have been released up to volume 14.
Original author Kondo commented, "So, it has been decided that 'Ninja and Yakuza' will be made into an anime!! My editors and I had always said that it would be impossible to make into a film, so it is a miracle that it has come true!! The staff have poured their love into turning Ninja Kiwami into an anime to the very limits of what can be broadcasted! I can really feel their passion!!!
